In the current situation where safe distancing and working from home is encouraged, we have started offering video-consultations for our patients. The advantage of video-consultation is that you can consult Dr Ng from the comfort of your home. The consultation can be done using Zoom, WhatsApp or WeChat video-call.
You can consider video-consultation if:
• You are an existing patient of Dr Ng’s and require follow up consultation or repeat prescription of medication.
• You are a new patient based in Singapore, with a urological problem.
Video-consultation is not ideal for all situations and there are limitations. Dr Ng will not be able to examine you physically, or evaluate you with scans or urine tests. If Dr Ng is unable to make a proper assessment through video-consultation, he may request that that you come down to the clinic for evaluation instead.
If you require a prescription of medication after video-consultation, it would be best if you could arrange for the medication to be collected at the clinic, either by yourself or through an intermediary.
Video-consultation would not be suitable for you if you are suffering from a condition that requires emergency or urgent care, eg.
• Pain in the abdomen or scrotum
• Fever
• Unable to pass urine
• Passing blood in the urine
In an emergency or urgent situation, please arrange for urgent consultation at our clinic, or go to the hospital emergency department for assessment.
