PSA is a blood test used to screen for prostate cancer. An elevated level of PSA may indicate the presence of prostate cancer.
However this test is not conclusive, and not all patients with elevated PSA levels have cancer; other diseases of the prostate such a benign prostatic enlargement and chronic inflammation (prostatitis) may cause abnormal PSA readings.
We provide comprehensive evaluation for raised PSA, which includes:
• Digital rectal examination
• Ultrasound of the prostate
• Blood and urine tests
• MRI of the prostate
• Targeted prostate biopsy through transrectal or transperineal method
