Dr Ng obtained his medical degree from National University of Singapore in 1994, and postgraduate surgical qualifications from Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1999 and 2000. He underwent Advanced Surgical Training in Urology in Singapore, and upon completion in the year 2004, was appointed Associate Consultant at the Dept of Urology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In the year 2005, he took up a fellowship programme in urologic cancer surgery at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He was appointed Consultant at the Dept of Urology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital in 2006. His research interests included the epidemiology and detection of prostate cancer in Singapore, and novel treatments for advanced prostate cancer. He held a National Healthcare Group research grant on the role of antibiotic therapy in the management of patients with elevated serum PSA. He was actively involved in clinical trials of novel compounds for treatment of advanced prostate cancer.
Dr Ng has extensive experience in minimally invasive urological procedures. His subspecialty interests include: urological cancers, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery including robotic surgery, and treatment of prostate problems and overactive bladder.
Currently, Dr Ng is Urologist and Director of CK Ng Urology & Minimally Invasive Surgery.
